The Underside of the Mustang what am I looking at anyway

I took the opportunity while mustang was on the lift to get a good look at the cars underside, I new it still had some rust issues to deal with but was not sure how much at the time.. I had one of those new digital cameras at the time and I took several pictures of the underside of the car so I could study things..  I thought I knew what I was looking at but I really didn't at that time.
